A kayak is a small, pointed type of boat that is usually only moved by muscle strength. Characteristic is that the kayak is closed from above with one or more manholes in the middle, the paddler with the legs forward and with a double-bladed paddle.
The kayak paddle is a stick with two blades, which have to be put alternately left and right next to the boat in the water. It is a misunderstanding that during the locomotion of a kayak only a pulling force is exerted with the one arm. However, the power to move faster and better also depends on the pushing force of the opposite arm.
